Maria has over 20 years of experience in finance spanning investment banking, private equity, and finance and data leadership for Seed through Series C startups. She began her career at JPMorgan and, over the past several years, has operated her own Fractional CFO practice.
As a Fractional CFO, she supports founders in building and scaling world-class accounting, reporting, and finance functions. Her expertise includes developing the foundation for data-driven decision-making, GTM finance, FP&A, fundraising, and helping companies scale efficiently while managing burn. Her current clients include high-growth companies across AI, SaaS, HR Tech, EdTech, and Green Energy sectors.
Prior to launching her Fractional CFO business, she served in full-time CFO, FP&A, and data leadership roles. She built finance functions from the ground up and helped drive 4x revenue growth at VIDA, an eCommerce and marketplace company later acquired by a strategic buyer. She also built and led FP&A and data functions at fintech unicorn Republic, scaling the team through the post-merger integration with Seedrs. Earlier in her career, she led SaaS M&A strategy at EFI as a senior member of the corporate development team.
