Kasem is a seasoned financial strategist and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in driving financial success for both for profit and nonprofit organizations while maximizing social impact. His extensive background includes operating as CFO for multiple national nonprofits since 2021, managing nearly $10M in restricted and government grants, preparing annual budgets, managing endowments and treasury, collaborating directly with the Board of Directors on strategy, leading annual audits and managing reporting back to grantors. Kasem also consults with foundations, family offices and other nonprofits on financial strategy, including use of endowments for impact investing.  His other experience includes raising over $100 million to scale his startups (including running point on 3 exits); leading negotiation, due diligence and go-forward planning for majority investments, mergers and acquisitions for small, medium and large deals; driving change management initiatives for Fortune 500 companies, and leading all levels of venture capital funding, including fund establishment, fundraising, investor management, pipeline building, diligence, negotiation, investment and ongoing portfolio company support.
