After receiving the gold standard of software creation education from Adobe Systems while still a start-up, Eric sought out companies with a unique mission or viewpoint, but lacked a strategy capable of fulfilling either. After Adobe, he built the first QE team at Excite.com, reengineered Roxio/Napster’s software certification process, ran QE/IT and PM at one of the first social networks, Friendster, then pulled all those roles into one as Ombudsman at Zazzle before founding two of his own companies.
As a momentum creator and trusted advisor, Eric specializes in identifying complex problems that are likely creating drag on efficiency. Once identified, he delivers actionable solutions that drive business and team transformation. For 20+ years, he’s focused on shipping quality software, optimizing operations, aligning executive teams, and unlocking new growth opportunities from a 360 perspective. Eric is currently the fractional Chief of Staff at a Seattle/San Francisco start-up focused on building an innovative communities of commerce platform where he is focused primarily on company strategy, PMO, compliance, contracts, budgets, headcount, and team morale.
His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to community are alive and well as the owner of a frozen custard company, a Montreal-style bagel company, and is in the process of acquiring and re-imagining a local dog mercantile.
