Rafael combines a corporate lawyers’ mindset with extensive international senior Human Resources experience in global multinational organizations. Born and raised in Mexico, Rafael started his career as a corporate lawyer in Mexico City. He then worked for the Gillette Company where he held positions of increasing responsibility in the Legal and Human Resources functions in Mexico, the United States, and Turkey. Rafael also worked for the International Paper Company in several executive Human Resources roles in Chile, the United States, and Brazil.
Rafael believes in coaching as a co-active conversation targeted at solving problems through discovery, awareness, and choice. He believes leaders are naturally creative, resourceful, whole, and capable of finding answers, acting, recovering from mistakes, and learning from experience. Rafael is described by his clients as both a kind and firm executive Coach, who helps executives and high-performing leaders find the courage and wisdom to maximize growth in new and challenging situations.
Now, as an entrepreneur at the helm of DXPAT CONSULTING, it’s Rafael’s mission to continue “bridge building” within executive leadership and business cultures, encouraging clients to reflect on values, challenge assumptions, explore alternatives, and set objectives to learn and grow.
